#12 United Nations General Assembly (UNGA)

"The General Assembly is one of the six main organs of the United Nations, the only one in which all Member States have equal representation: one nation, one vote. All 193 Member States of the United Nations are represented in this unique forum to discuss and work together on a wide array of international issues covered by the UN Charter, such as development, peace and security, international law, etc. In September, all the Members meet in the General Assembly Hall in New York for the annual General Assembly session"

Well, during our presentation, we were required to prepare a few things for the exhibition, which was:
  • Dance & Song
  • Religion & Culture
  • Food & Drinks
  • Fun Facts
  • History
  • Traditional costumes
  • Weather & Temperature
And i'm in charge of the FUN FACTS 1!1!1!1!
WOOOOOHOOOOOOOO

And which i am SOOOOO INTERESTED IN!!!!!!

How prepared were we?
The night before UNGA, my groupmates and i stayed up till it was 2 in the morning, doing the last  minutes preparation such as sewing the flag, decorating the board and etc...
We also did a test try on doing a green mint tea.
It didn't taste that great at first try,,
But after watching YouTube tutorials, we're getting the hang of it.
we just wore normal jubah as the traditional attire. Basically, Moroccan people wears colourful, symmetrical and full of sequins jubah!
we also wore a turban, moroccan inspired.
But, i the end, it fell off :p

Feelings after the UNGA exhibition:
Well, i didn't had much time exploring the other booths since i had to be in charge of my booth in case anyone comes visit. I was quite hectic and chaotic since the form 5 was there. We also gave away cute little Morocco flags to all of our guests!

But overall, I felt the needness of learning and knowing the basic knowledge of other countries. Not only that it is important as a basic knowledge, you can also imply it your essays if somehow a related-topic comes out! Plus, it's VERY INTERESTING TOO!!!!!

Here's some pictures of me, enjoying the exhibition with my friends :)))

HOW DID IT TURNED OUT?
Well, honestly I was quite surprised with the final results. Out of 10 groups, my team won 3rd place and won a hamper and certificates each. It was quite an unexpected win though, but maybe this is just Allah's way of showing that even though you're not teamed with the best people, but as long as you work to your fullest potential, there is always a chance :)
