So, the question is
- What would you do if you were the prime minister for the day? What are your priorities if you were running the country?
RULER FOR A DAY?
Being a Student Council Member in my school is hard enough. Imagine YOU being a Prime Minister, ruling over the country. managing all of the country's money crisis, thinking of diplomatic relationships and many more! To begin with, being a prime minister for a day... Of course not that much of change that could be done in a day. But, there are a few targets that i wished to accomplish given a day to me.
First of all, i would like to lessen the number of subjects of university students (this might apply to secondary students too though, because its gonna benefit me :p). Imagine university students. Taking whether a diploma or degree in whatever courses they are interested in. And suddenly, they need to even take subjects that doesn't really relate to their courses. Give for example, if you were to take courses in Applied Science (Relates to works in the medicinal field such as cardiologist), its relevant if you have subjects such as Biology, Applied Chemistry, etc.... But. to take subjects such as Bahasa Melayu and Agama Islam? Man, that is soo irrelevant. Yeah, we conceive to the fact that it is our duty and responsibikty to study Agama Islam. but to have it in the university silibus? You have to memorize parts of the Al-Quran. You have 5 Malay essays per day to submit on the next day. Can you imagine the burden? And what does essays have to relate with the careers such as Pharmacists, Optician and all.
In a nutshell, as a prime minister i will try my best to empower youth rights in education specifically in higher education.

TUN DR. MAHATHIR

Tun Dr. Mahathir bin Mohamad born 10 July 1925) is a Malaysian politician currently serving as the Prime Minister of Malaysia for the second time. He is the chairman of the Pakatan Harapan coalition, as well as a member of the Parliament of Malaysia for the Langkawi constituency in Kedah. He previously served as the Prime Minister from 1981 to 2003, making him the office's longest-serving holder. Mahathir's political career has spanned more than 70 years since he first joined a newly formed United Malays National Organisation (UMNO) in 1946, 70 years before forming his own party, Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Malaysian United Indigenous Party), in 2016.[3][4]
Born and raised in Alor Setar, Kedah, Mahathir excelled at school and became a medical doctor. He became active in the UMNO before entering Parliament in 1964. He served one term before losing his seat, subsequently falling out with Prime Minister. Tunku Abdul Rahman and being expelled from UMNO. When Abdul Rahman resigned, Mahathir re-entered UMNO and Parliament, and was promoted to the Cabinet. By 1976 he had risen to Deputy Prime Minister, and in 1981 was sworn in as Prime Minister after the resignation of his predecessor, Hussein Onn.
